Ingredients
35g Quick Oats
100g Egg Whites
15g of you favorite protein (I prefer level-1 Protein)
1 tsp Chia Seeds or Flex Seed
15g Almond Butter
70g Berries (frozen or fresh)
Steps
The water-to-oats ratio is crucial, you want the perfect amount of water so the oats at the end will be creamy. For 30 grams of oats, I add about 100 grams of water.
Microwave the oats with water for 1 minute. I like to add a pinch of Himalayan Salt to the oats to draw out flavor. Stir the oats to see if it needs additional time in the microwave.
Stir in 100 grams of egg whites and microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
Stir in the chia seeds and wait for a minute until the oats cool off. ONLY then, add the protein powder. If by this step the oats are too watery or cold, pop it back in the microwave for an additional 15 seconds.
Garnish with your favorite toppings like nut butter and berries.
